I love being the middle child in my family.

I have an older sister and a younger sister.
They are 2 of my very best friends...
They each have been huge inspirations to me with my Etsy shop,
because they are both very creative and crafty.

My younger sister Mairin has an Etsy shop called ElementalTree.

them with a recycled/repurposed bicycle wheel spoke
to be used as stake to put in a garden or along a pathway...
She recently gave me this one...

They are beautifully handcrafted and made with LOVE...
Gazing upon them brings me joy every time.

Cherry Tree Blessing

ISIS and I planted a seed from one of our Cherry tree's cherries last summer...

We kind of forgot about it amongst all of the other plants

in our nursery section on our deck...

It seems to be doing fine.

We found it like this,

in need of a new pot and some fresh soil to tuck it safely in...

I felt happy to find this symbolic seedling

right after I had posted my last blog post

because Cherry trees are all about

New Awakening and Insight...

I feel like I am on the edge of a new awakening

and that I can lean deeply into faith and trust now...

♥

We gave thanks to the Cherry tree for its offering,

and we will be bringing this one with us when we finally move.

This tree sits exactly in the furthest corner

of the south west part of our backyard.
The symbology of this area sheds light on the darkness
that is sometimes associated with deep introspection and reflection.

Also, in feng shui that the south west part of a bedroom

is a place that cultivates LOVE,

and it's interesting also because we have spent the last few months,

and intensely- the last 3 days, clearing out 1/4 of what we own...

to give away and sell at a yard sale this weekend...

The studio attached to the garage is where we have stored a lot of

our older things, and the Cherry tree stands shading that area.

Bears love cherries, and bear energy is symbolic for me

of my lucid dreaming.

I have had many of those lately,

easing me into a peaceful state of mind.

I am tasting the sweetness of life,

and grateful for this reminder from the spirit of this tree.

And just so you know, it is a Black Cherry tree...

not producing shiny red cherries, but darker ones...

and the wood of this tree is very strong.

Black Cherry trees produce white blossoms,

and the bees love them.

And sure enough we just had a bee in our home going up to

all of the paintings, and one of my altars that I just recently cleansed.

The synchronicities of life amaze me,

keep me humble on my path,

and remind me of the power of the universal flow of energy.

Magic happens.

A walk in the park...

Life around here has been a walk in the park
in many ways, literally and figuratively...
but it also has been challenging too.
The kind of challenge I am used to and love...
The kind that makes me strain and strengthen,
as my family grows and we make moves to manifest our dreams.
Even when times seem really rough,
it's all about our perception-
and for what makes us feel deeply
we gain more awareness, and experience...
I see the hard times as times to stretch and awaken
as we move through all situations with gratitude.

I have been busy with my children,

each day going on walks and enjoying the very warm weather.

It's been between 75-79℉!

ISIS rides her scooter and explores,

while I push Z in the stroller.

He loves it.

We've also been spending time making space in our home

by clearing out more of what we do not need.

This is part of our first steps toward moving,

so I am full force with my intention

to do it regularly, until I feel like we're ready to pack up.

Before Z turns 2, we plan to be living in a new home

with more land, and less of what we don't need...

I'll be keeping you updated throughout the year about

our goals, plans, and progress...

Right now its all about working hard to

manifest each step of the journey,

holding the intention, and doing what

is necessary in order to follow through with so much change.

I accept where we are at

and will continue to enjoy what living in

one of the largest cities has to offer,

but I can't help but think about my dream

to live in a smaller town,

with fresher air, healthy community, and more nature, etc.

In order to actually make enough money to keep afloat

and have any chance of moving in the next 2 years,

(even though we will be selling our home for

a less expensive one)

I still will need to contribute more

financially to my family.

I work hard as a Stay At Home Mama,

unschooling my youth,

and running my business-

which means juggling many things at once,

as I also am offering my service as the facilitator of

the Intuitive Heart eCourse,

where this powerful group of women are currently in week 4,

and loving the benefits of having a safe space to

evolve and share...

I go to bed tired, but content.

I have realized though that I can not

offer this eCourse for free next session.

There has to be an exchange that allows my family to

maintain our way of life,

as simple as it is...

It's been difficult to make ends meet-

let's put it that way...

I spend more time with the eCourse,

and now less time with my shop,

so now I'm balancing out appropriately.

My heart desires a day to come when I will not

have the need to receive money for my works,

but that day is not now.

I have to be realistic.

I have to make it so.

My husband and I are both easy-going about income,

and we have never strived to have a wad of cash to burn.

We really don't buy much other than food,

and the basic necessities.

We have a goal now though, to live more sustainably off the land

which will require us to relocate, and

let go of our current living situation.

This means a lot of financial responsibility and management.

Both of us have always carried a dream

to be sufficicient enough as a partnership,

that we can help others on their path in a variety of means,

but what's awesome is that we have been blessed with family

being near and supportive,

and friends and even new people that just come in to our life

help us out when we most needed it.

So blessed the network of humans on this planet.

Harmony is the Law of Being.

My intention will remain the same,

as I have been doing my spiritual works for as long as I can remember

and what I offer with Intuitive Heart will never be used to

attract more than we need,

or some larger than life attitude.

My intention when I wake up has never been

and will never be to gain money.

Money doesn't propel me.

Money doesn't make me happy.

But having enough to take care of my family is essential.

And it's been a struggle for everyone I'm sure,

that's how it is these days...

So I am encouraging everyone to manifest what they need

to live their life fully, with an open heart...

and to balance out, continue to simplify and give to others.

TEMPERANCE

healing - merging - going with the flow - balance

I believe in the power of love,

and the power of our thoughts.

What we ask for we will receive.

If you strive for riches,

chances are you will find yourself with

a large bank account one day...

most likely missing out on the things money can't by,

which is unfortunate.

What I strive for is peace of mind in everyday moments,

I strive for the health and happiness of my family,

my community, all life to flourish and be well,

for the world's people to get along and live sustainably.

It has been difficult for me to grasp the concept of

charging money for things I do from my heart,

but what I've learned is that we all have a role in

how energy moves, and how we affect each other

makes everything change.

I feel more comfortable now being open to receive

as I know that I give so much.

It feels good to give,

and I want to allow that exchange to flourish between me

and those who feel drawn to me and my works,

as I am drawn to those who I feel moved to support,

and we do so in so many ways...

and the cycle spirals into the beauty and mystery of how Spirit moves.

My baby boy is eating solids now once a day.

I have been preparing his food like I did for ISIS.

So far he likes organic bananas, oats, and carrots.

I have been so blessed to become his mommy,

he makes me feel so amazing,

his presence and smile is the sweetest treat.

As I go about my days nurturing my children,

my husband, my friends, and other family members,

and my community-

I also pray for all beings to have what they need

and to feel loved and safe.

I pray that people who who strive for success

by means of extreme vanity and greed

wake up to the needs of our planet,

and how just good old fashion fair trade and equal exchange

is what will help us all keep healthy and sane.

There is such a division of power and often it

becomes a matter of money and wealth.

True wealth and true happiness are not

manufactured or bought,

and where we put our resources and how we intend for them

to be received should not be seen as a mere payment,

rather a deposit into our well being as a whole,

as we make choices that feel balanced and ethical

in the grand scheme of things.

Just some food for thought.

The Power of Vulnerability

Initiation...

Last night we returned home from

our local mountains...

We made a trip out there for the weekend

in honor of my daughter's 5th birthday.

We stayed at the same place we did for

my 30th birthday on 11-11-11...

It rained on Saturday,

and was windy and cold both days,

but we went well prepared for rain or snow,

and were able to hike and enjoy the wood-burning stove,

and I even filmed my eCourse video out on the trails,

up at the top of a hill right where

I took the picture for my blog header...

♥

On Friday night we were greeted by lots of bats.

We watched them eat the moths fluttering

around the porch light.

I felt like it was a powerful sign for me,

as I've only had bats come into my life

strongly with a message once before,

and it was right at the beginning of a big shift in my life.

I wasn't really aware of the medicine bat had brought

that night, although I did feel a sort of initiation...

Saturday night, EAGL and I stayed up into the early morning hours

talking and uncovering some deep feelings

we had tucked away and that needed to be brought up...

I woke up later that morning having fully realized

that what I had done was surrender to my path once again,

and in a new way that felt lighter and in a way-

reborn into a fresh light, fresh perspective, new beginnings...

So much LOVE!

I had old feelings and ways I still needed to let go of,

but I guess I needed to really go deep into the

dark space to find what was there to move beyond,

and bat helped me do this with ease and clarity.

The sun came out, the clouds cleared,

and we spent the day outside in nature...

A very large and friendly wolf spider

and a frog were other wild creatures we made contact with,

and of course we enjoyed the chickens, goats, and white doves...

We also felt very privileged to have 2 juvenile Golden Eagles circle

around above us as we hiked.

Strong medicine...

Timely, as just last week I removed the Golden Eagle feather

I have carried for 7 years from the mirror in my Pathfinder,

as a way to ground that energy...

...and where I filmed the video for week 3 of Intuitive Heart

were fresh coyote tracks reminding me of the raw power of

what keeping it really really REAL with myself and others can bring

into relationship and my meditations...

I'm very grateful for this trip,

and am enjoying the extra work I've been putting into

the eCourse as it has increased my sensitivity to my senses,

my community, my heart space, and my family...

I also have added new items to my shop,

including cuffs and pouches,

and there will be more added this week as well...

Intuitive Heart eCourse - Day 1

I recorded my first eCourse video yesterday,

and welcomed all of the women into the group-

granting them access to the private blog,

my YouTube Channel -

to view the private videos,

and to the private Flickr group...

So it is official now,

the eCourse has begun!

This also means that I have closed

registration for this session.

I will announce sometime soon,

when I'll be offering the next session of this eCourse.

So stay tuned in, if you feel like you missed out.

It feels really good to know that I have a little

less weight on my shoulders.

I worked very hard to prepare for the kick off

of Intuitive Heart eCourse,

and with the surprising amount

of women who want to be a part of it,

I am just marinating in the love and

feeling inspired to connect as I've intended to for so long.

Thank you to all of you who have been

sending me love through the ethos...

I feel it, and I appreciate it.

It's been very busy around here,

mostly because we are always doing things with the children,

but I've been putting a lot of time into

the eCourse and have also been making

new cuffs and pouches for the shop.

I had 2 custom orders I completed as well,

and we have my daughter ISIS' birthday nearing on the 10th.

She'll be 5!

So special...

We won't be having a party for her this year,

because she requested that we get out of town instead.

I was so happy to hear this news.

We are planning a weekend trip for next week...

My little guy is sitting up,

and talking with his bubble blowing

and drooly noises-

and he's just sooo sweet,

I am so in love with him.

He's 5 months now.

We have been enjoying our new juicer.

I have wanted one for so long,

and we received one as a gift recently,

so it's been fun making fresh juices for us all,

and I just love having the option to have it,

whenever I want it now.

We have been mixing lots of

different veggies and fruit.

I remember when I worked

as a waitress at a raw food restaurant,

making juices for customers and getting to

sample all of the combinations.

Even just the color therapy of drinking such vibrant

colors is healing.

Such a cleansing, fresh way to start the New Year.

I'm inspired by some of my friends right now too,

who are juicing it up everyday and showing pics on Instagram.

LOVE

EAGL and I are working up some new plans for our

future in regard to the move I mentioned.

We have a lot of work to do,

and there are so many changes happening.

I am so grateful for his support as I've been manifesting

this eCourse and maintaining my shop.

He is now blossoming in new ways,

as his creativity is sparking up

and showing me more of his beautiful light.

I feel so blessed with my family.

when she was baby Z's age now.

I've been working on creating a photo album

to reflect the last couple of years,

which is when I left off, and have only kept pics on the computer.

There's something about having an actual picture to hold

and to frame, or to give away...

We have several from when I first met EAGL,

but these past 2 years I've been so busy,

that I let it go,

so now that the baby is here I feel like

I should start collecting again.

As for today, we're going to go check out the waves...

I guess there have been some very big sets

coming in to San Diego, up to 15 feet!

So we're going to go show the children,

and enjoy the ocean medicine.

My husband's dad has a '51 Chevy Fleetline,

and I enjoyed sitting in it for fun

on New Years Eve with ISIS...

It's our family tradition to go to EAGL's parents' house

and eat his mama's homemade pozole-

she makes us a vegetarian version and it's delicious.

I hope you all enjoyed your New Year transition...

Spider Buddha

"Overstimulated" was a kind way of putting it...
The detailed truth was sprinkled with words like:
draining my energy, betrayed by a friend...
and learned a lot about what I don't want to be or do,
by viewing her example.
It's a creepy feeling to be surrounded by cluttered webs.
Psychic energy is strong,
and it's not always enough to watch your own thoughts...
We have to guard our space with integrity,
and give without need for recognition...
I stood firm with my open heart,
generously and fearlessly...
but sometimes there are those who will take advantage
and they want your light...
I had to move through a passageway in my mind.
A stagnant space created by the pain I felt
knowing that someone would be so conniving...
and the energetic tornado effect of someone else's issues,
dragging me into their symbolic fire.

I came out more clear, more sure, more humble.

Sometimes you have to speak your truth and not

look back at what the reaction will be.

Honor your truth and respect your self.

The Universe will take care of the rest.

My intuitive husband gave me this lapis lazuli ring on the 26th.
It has a deer carved into it...
As a sweet soul spoke of recently:
"There are those who run with the wolves,
and there are those who walk with the deer"...

I understand both paths...
and I adore each animal for what they are...
Wolf has been an amazing teacher.
What I know about myself is that I am more like a deer.
Aware, alert, peaceful, gentle...
I could never hunt down and plan an attack on innocent life.
I don't bark loud or need my pack to back me up constantly.
I walk with my eyes and ears wide.
I am sensitive to my environment,
I do not wish to harm, or crave the flesh.
I think for myself,
and don't bow down to the alpha dog, running the show.

I dreamed recently of 8 deer following me and my husband...
They wanted to come near me,
so when they did,
I fed them fruit...
This was before he gave me the ring.
I woke up feeling so happy.

ISIS received a big horse toy as a gift during the Holy Days...
Horse has also been in my dreams as of last night...
There is much healing,
and stomping out of the false...
While some are afraid of what they label 'dark'-
They may speak of it naively...
but what I know is the beauty and peace,
the truth and regeneration in ashes,
the magic in creation...
We all come from darkness...
The most sacred.

Truth is not darkness,
although it might feel uneasy to accept it.
Strength and standing up for yourself is not darkness,
although it may seem to another to be from that place in themselves.
We all have a dark side,
and often what we see in others as 'dark'
is that which we fear in ourselves...
Our darkness is our depth of soul,
our bold sense of wonder for all things brought to the light.

I had many warnings from true-friends,
and a strong message from Spirit...

with sticky fingers.
Now, I am no longer feeling the overstimulated feeling,
it's more like the I'm 'over it' feeling.

Move Beyond Releasing...

I just want to say that I understand
the intense feelings people go through
when the thoughts of RELEASING comes up.
I remember feeling like I had to release the old paradigm
I was living and seeing in a decade ago,
when I was in college.
I released it all.

Releasing as a concept is tricky,
because even if we say we want to release,
we have to be mindful of the fact that often
if what we were intending to release is just an image
or thought in our mind,
it may be that we are in actuality
holding on still to that exact thing we want to
release because we are thinking of how much
we need or want to release it.

Releasing should be, if anything,
a continual daily renewal
to freshen the mind.

It is a concept that comes up though for healers,
as we try to help ourselves,
and others clear blockages.

What is interesting to me,
is that Releasing is not a big deal for ME,
as I know it is for some...
Depending where you are on your path,
you may feel like you have blockages or
like you have a desire to move beyond
a place of stagnance.
That is natural,
usually at the beginning stages of waking up to
your spirituality.
Which is why this concept is used to help those
who want to see, and feel without the
feelings of lack,
or that they cannot move on unless they change
or abandon their old self or way of living/thinking.

I am at a place on my path
where I have RELEASED RELEASING.

When we release the feeling that we need to release,
we move beyond to a place where we can CREATE.

When we are constantly thinking that we need to go within
ourselves to find the blockages,
and find the negative, or trouble with ourselves,
and what we think we should get rid of,
we are staying in the lower energies of the mind,
dwelling on aspects that do not need,
that kind of attention.

It would be better to release the thoughts
that say
'you need to release',
because in actuality,
the Universe will take care of it for you.

Once you have the intention,
everything sets in motion,
and what is most important,
is the energy you put into CREATING
the life you want.

Do not waste your energy trying to see inside yourself
to find what is wrong,
or wounded or ego-bruised.

You should just reflect on it briefly,
and then move on to create and do what
it is you want to do...

Similar to the way someone might reflect on
the way they played a game,
for instance soccer.
Maybe you had a soccer game,
and you didn't play as well as you would have liked,
so that night you thought about it.
You would realize that it doesn't feel good to
think about yourself as not playing well,
and you'd then move on to thinking about
how you could improve your game.
Maybe you just needed to eat a more wholesome meal,
or wear a better fitting shoe,
or stretch better beforehand.
Whatever it is you decide to do to improve your
situation is that which moves you beyond feeling stuck.
You wouldn't want to just sit there
dwelling in the thoughts of how badly you played you soccer game right?
I hope not.

You have infinite potential,
and by this I mean,
your mind and heart are able to create the reality
you want.

You can have it NOW.
You do not need anyone else to tell you your truth,
you just need to trust yourself.

When we spend time seeking the permission
and approval of others,
or if we are constantly telling ourselves
that we need to be more like someone else
other than who we truly are,
it creates a conflict in our mind
that something is not right within-
and that is not healthy.

It would be more beneficial
to accept your wounds,
accept that you need to perhaps improve
on things like taking care of yourself,
or trusting more,
and not fearing things...
Accept that maybe there is someone in your life,
that you want to try and forget about because
you don't want to accept them as they are.

The truth is that you cannot release
what you constantly think about releasing.

Make it a habit to release in an instant.

Do not hold on and covet the act of releasing any longer.

We are raising our consciousness to move beyond
what no longer serves us...
and this is one of those things.

It no longer serves me to keep digging
within to find more trouble.
Instead I constantly work with the energy I feel.

Whether it is pleasant or not,
I deal with it
and learn from it,
and I know that I can choose to allow it to bother me,
or make me ill thinking about it,
or I can transmute any negative vibe
into a healing process in itself,
by simply accepting its presence in my life,
and that I was meant to learn from it,
and then release the thoughts that may overwhelm,
about needing to release in the first place.

You are free to live now.
You do not need to wait...
Do not live in the past thinking about the future.

Just live now,
and accept that your life may not be exactly how you want it-
and in that moment start making it how you want it.

Like I said,
the Universe will take care of the rest...
It's already happening,
and when you feel that energy move through and go out,
it may feel uncomfortable...
maybe you'll have anger, or fear,
or jealousy rise up,
and you'll wonder what is 'wrong'-
but there is nothing wrong...

Just say goodbye to it as it leaves you.
Holding on to it so you can play with the idea,
Begins to be a waste of time that you could have spent
creating the life that you want in every moment.

Do it now.

I love prehnite.

Prehnite is a powerful stone for visualizations through meditation..

.It produces calmness while opening one to the ethereal realms of guidance..

It helps in remembering dreams ...

Helps predict and prepare for one's personal spiritual growth...

Prehnite heals the healer in us...

This stone teaches how to be in harmony with nature and the elements,

with unconditional love alleviating fears and nightmares...

"Dream Weaver" - necklace

I made 5 necklaces a couple days ago.

I made one for myself (in the first picture),

and this one above is for the shop....
They both have lots of gorgeous prehnite...

One of my friends told me this week,
"You're a dream weaver"...

It reminded me of the necklace that
I used chunky prehnite for (like the piece on my cuff),

that I sold in April 2010,

that was also called "Dream Weaver".

I felt inspired to create a new necklace in honor of

this name that came back into my life...

For the new "Dream Weaver" - necklace,
I also used picture jasper and black tourmaline-

to balance it out...

"Feather Dream" - necklace

This is another that I made...

It has amber, garnet, black tourmaline,

snowflake obsidian, and an antiqued silver feather.

Very healing...

"Ground Out" - necklace

Simple, strong, peaceful...

Ancient mud.

This one I made for my friend Natacha,
who I visited with this week.
I'm showing it because I will be making
more like it soon.
I used silk thread,
just like these past ones I sold from my shop-
"Creation Magic" and "Heron's Flight"...

I've been putting so much time and energy into the eCourse,
that I ended up taking a long break from making things,
but it's been difficult not to...
I missed making new things,
so I decided to take a break from the computer this week,
and got out some supplies for new projects
to work on little by little.

I feel inspired to create all of the time,
but for now I'm putting aside loads of that energy
for Intuitive Heart eCourse,
and it feels so good to have been getting
such a wonderful response to the FREE eCourse!
I sent out welcome letters to those who have joined so far,
and will continue to keep it free and open,

Transformation Bliss

My mother gave this necklace to me on my birthday.

I am so grateful for all of the gifts I received,

and all of the love that was sent my way...

That Friday, 11-11-11, my family and I traveled east

to the mountains an hour from where we live.

We stayed in a private retreat on 16 acres,

surrounded by native chaparral and oak forest.

We kept warm by the wood burning fire on Saturday,

after we had ventured out in the morning

to explore the trails before it started raining hard...

All the elements were in perfect harmony...

We felt humbled by the beauty and peace...

Enjoying the clean air, and healing space to just be.

We had a lot of fun on Sunday too...

I feel recharged and lighter,

with a renewed sense of clarity.

I walk my path with respect,

and I align with others who do as well.

I release what no longer serves me,

and keep focused on my works...

I give thanks for the abundance in my life.

Breathing in peace.

I'm 30! ...and it's 11-11-11! So awesome...

This full moon energy,

and turning 30,

and the amazing alignment of 11-11-11

has created such an imprint for me.

I normally don't get too amped on my birthday...

I give thanks and spend time with family,

and then I'm over it...

But this time around the sun,

I feel especially grateful for so much...

I am beaming with gratitude...

and soaking in all of the blissful energy of this day.

We (me, EAGL, ISIS, and baby Z)

are going out of town today until Sunday night...

I will be sharing about our retreat

when we get back.

I'm so excited.

It's going to be so good for us to get out of the city!

I'm already breathing easier just thinking about it.

My sister sent me a gift through the mail...

I was surprised to see a skirt from Texture...

A company I had only heard about once while reading
about it on Boho Girl, a while back...
Denise is right about this company.

It fits so nice,

and is made very lovingly.

She also sent me this amazing Prehnite!

I love prehnite...

and I got a full set of her beautiful postcards.

And then EAGL gave me an Olive tree,

and 2 potted Hebe plants...

The Olive tree is symbolic of peace and harmony,

and I think it's so thoughtful of him

to bring me this offering of love,

so we can watch it grow together...

and the Hebe (this one in particular),

is one that we first saw while traveling up the coast

in June 2010... and I fell in love

with it's beauty and energy.

EAGL is so sweet... seriously.

I know some of you have mentioned that you'll be

thinking of me today,

and I'll be thinking of you too!

Life is blessed.

I have so many thoughts on what 11-11-11 means.

I have been seeing 11:11 on the clock

since I was a child,

and I never talked about it to people

until I started hearing others talking about it.

I thought it was just a personal thing at first,

probably because I was born on 11-11.

But then I'd get this elevated feeling and

every time I'd see 11:11 on the clock,

it would feel like the Universe was

telling me that I was aligned and on my path...

it has served me as a confirmation in that way.

Once I realized that this 11:11 phenomenon was

happening to millions of people,

I did lots of research on it,

and there is quite a bit out there.

If I were to try an summarize it for you,

it'd be just that-

A summary of everything I've read.

But I'm just not big on trying to act like

I know all about something that I'm regurgitating from

tons of other peoples writing.

MY personal feelings about it

often are similar or identical to some of what

I've researched though...

I know this...

That 11 is an intuitive number.

The most intuitive number...

We ALL are waking up and connecting

to our intuition and we're learning how

and why to trust it.

I trust that we all will find our reasoning,

in the moments we need to,

whether it's from reading an article about it

that you found off Google

and something totally making sense,

or if it's just an insight you have

when you think about it,

or see 11:11...

Today is a day you can meditate on our existence

and our state of being...

and know that you are not alone.

Many people consider today a portal

and we are moving into higher consciousness...

There are thousands of ceremonies taking place

all over the world in honor of this time,

and I think that's great.

Honestly though,

what really matters to me,

is that we all find our answer within,

and know that it's not as complex as we may think.

We can make it complex,

but it's actually really simple.

"7 things you don't know about me"

has asked that I participate in the

Kreative Blogger Award challenge...

She received the Kreative Blogger Award,

and had to pass along the challenge to 10 people,

to write, "7 things you don't know about me"...

and then ask 10 more people to do it...

I normally wouldn't want to do something like this,

but it appealed to me because I kind of have

Writer's Block right now...
I have 3 drafts that I haven't posted...

...and I have a lot I'm sorting through

in my mind... I have lists

of things I'm doing,

so I basically have had to take breaks

from being on the computer

and mostly I just work at night,

and be present with my children during the day...

So, chances are what I'm about to write about myself,

is news to you... although,

I share some of my personal stories on this blog

so details of these 7 things are scattered

throughout some of my posts...

Soul Retrieval, one of my older mixed media paintings...

1. I spent 9 years working in the public school system in Southern California...

I started off as an office assistant at my high school in 1999. I kind of liked it because I got to see behind the scenes at my school office, but the vibe was stagnant and awkward. I had already started to really contemplate the educational system by then. Both my parents were educators in the system, and I was observant all throughout my sentence there. I didn't like what I was seeing. Teachers and students and faculty were imbalanced, bored, prone to engage in unconscious drama, and stressed out. I wanted to help in a fresh way, to be an advocate for youth like me- who wanted to start reforming the education we were being offered. I went on to get a job as a college aide at an adult school, while I was earning my Bachelors degree in Sociology. I developed curriculum for ESL (English as a Second Language) lessons, and a CBET (Community Based English Tutoring) program. That is where I worked for 5 years, and, when I realized I wanted to teach for sure. I just wasn't ready to jump into it right away... because in my mind at the time, I thought I should go on to get my teaching credential, but I had such profound spiritual callings that I could not commit to more years of schooling. I needed a break. Well, 2 years later I obtained a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and earned a Master of Education in Cross-Cultural Teaching degree. (I was substitute teaching in an elementary school district and pregnant with ISIS during that time.) After a couple long term jobs, I realized that I was feeling depleted and stressed out, and very sad to leave my daughter. Even though I worked very hard all those years to rebel in subtle ways as I cultivated awareness in the youth and connected beautifully with so many people through the various programs I was involved with, it was clear to me that I needed to get out from under the oppressive school systems' umbrella. I freed my mind from the strict codes of behavior, and curriculum that I was bothered with in the schools. I quit. And then, within 2 months, I had opened my Etsy shop, started this blog, and cut my dreadlocks off for an amazing transformation. This blog has been like a gateway for me to finding ways to express and utilize some of my gifts... I love learning... and I think education is very important, but learning happens naturally without the need for schools... The schools that are awesome don't feel like schools- they're more like a community of life learners. That's the kind of education I want. The freedom to live and learn as I choose...

2. I used to do Spoken Word poetry in coffee shops and Open-Mics...

I had a lot of emotions and ideas. I needed an outlet, and the musician in me was inspired to write dozens of songs, hundreds of poems, filling lots of journals. I enjoyed listening to others, but I also found it very interesting to be on a stage with a mic in my hand free-styling about consciousness, eco-shamanism and corrupt systems. The 3 years I was really into this style of expression was when I was taking a break from working in the school system. I have recorded ~15 tracks of me playing the guitar and singing, and some are me flowing to beats- conscious hip-hop style. I have shared my music with certain people in my life who I've thought would enjoy it or be inspired by it... but mostly I just keep the fire burning inside that one day wishes to record again, because it's been about 5 years. My husband and I freestyle every day. I still keep a lyrics journal too. I just have no desire to perform on a stage, and we don't have the proper sound equipment or time to record like we want to. We're working on manifesting it. Meanwhile my husband is inspiring me more and more with his constant singing and guitar playing. We're always singing and dancing around here.

3. I love to dance...

Dancing for me is a healing ritual I honor daily. In order for my body-mind-spirit connection to feel healthy and vibrant, I have to dance. Dancing is one of the most healing actions I do for myself. I allow myself the pleasure to experience freedom of movement. I often combine my yoga practice with my dancing too. I'll be really into my asanas and then I'll just feel an overwhelming urge to move more quickly. I have studied various forms of dancing, but I just dance from my heart. I typically do most of my dancing at my home in private. I used to dance Capoeira, but now I just listen to a lot of Capoeira music and practice on my own. Capoeira is an art form that involves a lot of physical strength and freedom of mind to connect to music and rhythms. The best way to describe the type of Capoeira I enjoy, is to watch this video. I was taught by "Mestres" from Rio De Janiero, Brasil. My experience is almost identical to this, except I've never been to Brasil. Enjoy...

4. I played competitive soccer from age 4-17...

I loved it. I love soccer. It taught me how to discipline myself, and handle pain, and work as a team. I gained endurance and stamina, and felt flexible and strong. It even strengthened my intuition and ability to anticipate what was coming. I traveled to other states, and even scored 3 goals in a tournament in Cancun, Mexico. I've played with women on the U.S. National team and the Mexican National team. I've sprained my ankle countless times, and even had to go to therapy for a strained hip. Soccer is intense... I ended up getting burned out by the time I graduated high school. It was very competitive and political, so it I didn't feel comfortable doing it so often. It had lost it's fun. So, after high school I just played casually whenever someone felt like kicking the ball around or whatever. I began to deepen my yoga practice and focused on ahimsa.

5. I have been communicating with the spirit realm and learning about Energy Healing since I was a young child...

Call it whatever you want, but what's real is that I was born aware and super sensitive to psychic energy. I took on a lot as a newborn under a full moon on 11-11, 30 years ago... and then developed keen senses that I fortunately was able to strengthen and observe in nature freely. No one taught me the way to be, or how to connect with animal spirits, or plant spirits. I was drawn to the healing arts and knew I had gifts, but have always been a humble lightworker, doing my works in subtle ways, without a following, sort of with a tendency toward being a hermit, and drawn to Buddhist dharma. I came into contact with Medicine People, Psychics, and Healers, only to inspire and be inspired to move forward with a low profile... and keep on with my works. It's because of my sensitivity to energy that I have slowly emerged as a practitioner of Metaphysics, and certain spiritual practices. My path is very sacred and I respect those who walk similar paths, I respect others' traditions. We all have our own unique way of offering our love and light back to the Universe. What's important to me is that we recognize the truth and the light within each spirit. There need be no convincing of how much knowledge we have, or whether or not we look a certain way, or are affiliated with certain cultures. The truth shines brightly- this I know. We all have infinite potential. We all are tapped into the same circuit.

6. I believe in Entheogenics...

There was a time in my life long before I was married, that I was very depressed. I got so depressed that I had thoughts of suicide. I had so much emotional wounding that I began to try to numb the pain... Nothing worked. I just felt more and more angry with my situation, until finally I started to break free by reaching out farther, I began to meditate with more intention and I asked my guides to help me. It wasn't until my first experience with Psilocybe cubensis, that I fully awakened to my life path and purpose here on this Earth plane. Yes I broke the law by possessing illegal mushrooms, but I don't regret it, and I don't agree that it should be illegal to have or ingest a wild harvested fungus, or any medicinal plant for that matter. My many experiences with exploring my spirituality with magic mushrooms brought me to a level of awareness that I still am trying to find the words to explain. Those times have been by far the most effective healing treatment I've ever had the joy of experiencing. I have amazing stories that I could tell, but I sort of hold back sometimes because I don't always have an appreciative audience. There is no doubt in my mind that I was guided to this medicine when I most needed it. I had a fresh perspective on life, and the interconnectedness of all things became so overwhelmingly apparent, that I rose above my depression with powerful insights and visions that have helped me evolve to who I am now.

7. I see double...

Well, I actually just have a stigmatism. My eyes don't focus well unless I make them. It's pretty drastic, to the point that I actually see 2 exact copy images of whatever I'm looking at. It's interesting too, that I happened to be born on 11-11, and that symmetry has always been something I like and am fond of. I wear corrective contact lenses now and have glasses to help me with this vision issue. It gets tiring if I try to do the focusing myself... and I can go for long periods of time without wearing my lenses, but I tend to get headaches and stop trying to look at people when they talk to me because it's too difficult to focus, so I prefer to wear my contacts. My parents found out I had it when I was about 4 years old, because I would hold a hand over one eye to see better... I don't like wearing contact lenses but I am glad I have them. I'm interested in how to strengthen my eyes and have considered Lasik, but truly don't think I'd ever get that type of work done, because there haven't been enough long term studies and the risks scare me. I also have developed farsightedness that makes it difficult to see stuff close up. Good thing my third eye sees just fine!

iPhones are awesome.

On Oct. 20 my cell phone contract

reached 2 years, which meant I was eligible for an

upgrade on my phone...

I hadn't even thought about it,

until last month my husband kept telling me

I should get an iPhone.

He doesn't have one,

he has something like it though-

and he just knew I'd love it,

from what he's read.

I have been noticing some of the awesome

pictures people take with their iPhones,

and I my older sister finally convinced me

that this phone would

"change my life."

She wasn't the only person that told me that either...

Well, I got one.

I ordered an iPhone 4 for $99

and it came the next day.

I love it.

It seriously is amazing how technology keeps

changing, and allowing us to do so many

practical and fun things...

I didn't realize how much I'd appreciate

what this phone can do, until now,

actually having spent a few days trying out

some of the applications.

My favorite so far is playing music

while I rock baby Z to sleep,

with phone in pocket

walking under and around our big tree...

and also taking pictures of my kids,

with the Instagram, Instaplus, and Hipstamatic applications.

Awesome.

I didn't know much about these applications

until a few days ago,

so I'm pretty amazed.

First of all, Instagram is like this whole

big network almost like Twitter,

which kind of blew my mind,

I personally won't be using it to "Follow"

a bunch of people,

probably some though...

I honestly just don't have time to look at

a million pictures,

but I can see why it would be attractive to others.

But as you can see I've taken some shots already.

I love photography...

I take pictures every single day.

I have been using a digital camera that

we bought before ISIS was born,

but it's starting to malfunction sometimes,

so this iPhone kind of replaces my phone and camera.

Well, I used my digital camera to take a picture of my phone though...

But here's a look at a few of my iPhone pics...

This was literally the first picture I took of myself.

I took it past midnight the first night I had the phone,

once I finally had time to actually open the box,

and activate it, etc. because my little ones were sleeping,
and mama could have a moment to chill.

Then I started messing with the Instaplus,

and Hipstamatic the past couple days...

I took this picture of an original painting

by my friend Petra, with one of her healing shards

that she sells at LillaJizo.

I was just looking around my house for a nice shot,

and these pieces were up on one of my altars

just waiting to be photographed.

This one is of our dog Shanti.
This was actually the second picture I took with my iPhone,
the next morning after I got it.

Can you tell that I am happy with my purchase?
I don't buy myself new stuff very often,
so it's a big deal to me.
It has made accessing my email,
and Etsy shop so much easier,
and I feel better with the way the iPhone feels
because I also bought a really great cover for it,
by Otterbox...

It was worth the extra money.

So...
How many of you have iPhones...?
Are there any applications that you recommend?

I am trying to decide which Chakra Tuning app to get.
I would love to have access to singing bowl sounds,
anytime anywhere...
GPS is going to help too...
I'm so excited.

Oh and we have reservations for my birthday!

after a couple days away at a beautiful hidden retreat...

I found this stone on the shores of the Sonoma Coast,

and then Petra painted a Jizo Bear for me on it.

I love the feeling of smooth stones.
Still...

Each has a different vibe, and energy...

ISIS was holding the 3 top found stones this morning,

She keeps her own altars,

but I actually hand her certain crystals and stones

sometimes to ground her...

Holding a cool ancient piece of the Earth

is very soothing and helps us connect with our breathing...

The bottom 3 are onyx,

2 eggs, and a heart, given to me many years ago

while I was journeying and questing...

long story...

stones hold memories too...

...this is another gift,

but more recent...

Crow has it's way of speaking loud and clearly...

Showing up often and in crafty ways...

This rose quartz crystal is also cool to the touch,

but warms up...

Stones with holes...

spirals...

everything is a circle...

The one on the left I found,

It doesn't take any special sort of person
to receive mother Earth's medicine...
She offers it up freely.

There are no gatekeepers guarding the way...
You are free too.

It's more simple than that.

...and the new BABY news!
well, I'm not pregnant again!
I am just so excited to be an aunt once again.
My older sister Kristen gave birth to a healthy
baby girl on October 4 early in the morning...
"Liliana Paz" is now the lil' sis of my beloved
2 1/2 y.o. nephew who I've written about a lot on this blog
because up until I was 7 months pregnant
I was his caregiver 3 days a week.
ISIS and him are "best friends",
and now ISIS and him both are
transitioning together as
big sister and big brother,
and it's fun to think about both Z and Liliana
together- only 2 months apart!
I am so proud of my sister,
she's an amazing mama,
and one of my very best friends in the world.

We're going soon after I post this to go meet
the baby for the first time...

Grateful for life...

my pregnancy... It seems pretty full now,

I am in love with these 2

It's 10:22 and I finally have a moment to spare,

but I'd rather go snuggle up in bed and be near my baby,

who is 2 months now!

I only write about once a week now,

and the weeks fly by...

I have so many things going on each day with ISIS and Z,

and I'm working on so much with my art and business...

Loving it too...

I feel great.

I have this feeling though that I need to

organize my thoughts to share more in a couple posts here,

some of what I've been up to.

But for now I'll show a few pics from our day...

This is the staircase to ISIS' dollhouse,

that she randomly detached and insisted on painting.

I walked outback to see this on her tricycle's handlebars...

It made me laugh, and smile as she rode off

totally serious about her decoration-

Right now there are 10 minis and

2 regular Dream Pillows...

As usual I used a combination of herbs and goodness including:

rose, mugwort, lavender, chamomile, white sage,

lemon balm, orris root, hops, and jasmine oil...

This time though, I simplified with the crystals,

and have placed just one tiny clear quartz crystal,

and some red jasper in each pouch...

While I was busy being mama to 2 awesome children,
and best friend/wife to my love...
(good times...)
I made these items, and danced

around in my joyful-thoughtful state...

dreaming up so much I can barely contain myself...

I feel like I'm just bursting with inspiration,

and it's all coming out little by little...
I honestly feel tongue tied like I can't explain
some major shifts with words right now...
I just know it's felt...

She surprised me with this one...

I had such a huge smile...

She painted a grey fox,

like the one we saw cross paths with us up on

the Sonoma Coast last year...

She told me she accidentally painted the sky

underneath it and the ground above...

EAGL and I saw so many things...

I thought it was a cat on the left,

then she said it was a coyote...

I love watching how her art has evolved...

ISIS playing in the fort that I used to play in as a child...

in my parents' backyard today...

My mom told me she used to have to 'drag me in' when I was young...

All I wanted to do was spend time alone outside...

I wandered the canyon behind our home as well...

ISIS loves it out there, but her personality

is more about always being around people

and engaging them...

So when I went out to her camp,

I was greeted and welcomed in,

served tea, soup... and desert...

I'll tell you a story about what I would do out there...

Listen...

Feel the wind from the top of the hill

through my hair and against my face...

I would think... a lot...

Meditate so much...

I would gather...

and for sometime I made a special mixture

from organic matter in our yard,

dirt, flowers, certain leaves, etc...

and it was a paste that I would change over and over

throughout weeks of experimenting...

I was trying to find something to put on the bark of trees,

to "heal" them...

I would be quiet- inside my head...

alone, doing this without anyone knowing what I was doing...

I just remember scraping a little bark off

the trees' trunks, and then putting the mud

on it, and letting it dry in the sun,

and I'd go back over the course of a few days to see if

the tree was looking feeling better...

I would use my senses to connect with the tree's spirit...

I didn't think about if this behavior was 'normal'

or if my friends were doing it...

I just did what I felt like doing...

I was free to BE outside,

which I am so grateful for.

I ~~could~~ should write a book about

my childhood adventures on the trails...

growing up...

I look at these trees so tall now...

I use to climb one of them,

and I'd get so high,

and it'd be swaying in the wind...

That's when I first realized 3 of my main spirit guides...

hawk, crow, and dove...

I observed and listened and felt in harmony with the land...

I still do...

I love this card...

It speaks to me about divine power-

primal energy...

We all have the power within to create and make better for

ourself and others...

for all that is...

...but energy is everything, and some is used in ways

that is not always in the interest of the majority...

I know sometimes it seems we have our power taken from us...

What power is that...?

I know there are places where people feel powerless...

They have to struggle to survive in much harder

conditions than I do...

and I think about all the types of power in the world,

and how it is abused and taken for granted...

I remind myself of what power can never be taken away...

Dreaming a world of LOVE and peace...

...remembering 9-11, as so many are today-

but I also think about similar suffering

not exactly like those in the front lines

or refugees

but I empathize...

I know suffering...

and I know peace...

I have compassion for all life,

and sometimes the weight is heavy

when I take on the suffering of others,

or try to sift through an understanding of my own...

We all have our stories...

We all deal with our emotions in our own unique way...

I honor that...

On Thursday San Diego went without electrical power for 11 hours...

So did a wide range of other cities all the way to Ensenada

up to Orange County.

It was a strange feeling to know of how large a Blackout it was...

I had thoughts of being stuck because of people panicking and

wanting to flee by car... the roads backed up,

and a rise in adrenaline and negative fear-based thinking...

I had to strain that water weight and adjust my temperature...

EAGL, ISIS, Z, AND I

all stayed together at the house,

and we talked about 'what ifs' and kept grounded...

We didn't know when the power would go back on

but we had enough water and food for a few days...

It was just interesting to think about it all...

How the theme of power again can be so metaphorical...

We're locked in a grid of electrical dependency in the cities...

It's not a good feeling...

There were many lessons that came...

The next day is when I got out all of the above

stones, healing shards, and crystals...

I wanted to list the new items for my shop...

Every time I examine my works

and take pics of them...

I charge them with love and light...

and I maintain a peaceful energy...

I give thanks...

and I feel the energy of creation flowing through my heart...

No matter where we are,

what we've seen,

what we've endured, and know and believe...

There is a sacred power we align with as one force...

Our thoughts and intentions are powerful...

That's why there are so many ways to do good...

to be change... to heal...

to stay conscious in the face of fear...

and to help those that seem stagnant...

as if the power is being drained from them,

or they have lost their way...

So, I say be aware...

Awaken to your power...

Use it wisely...

Give thanks and rejoice in your freedom...

Seek truth...

Life Force

A huge shift happened while and after I posted my last post...

I made my thoughts and feelings about certain things apparent

and then Universe was like- ok well let's change for the better.

I felt like a veil was lifted from before my eyes...

I have been feeling clearer in my thoughts,

strong in my practice...

Patience for irritations within myself led me to

awareness that I needed to keep all channels open...

I realized that the noises didn't matter as much as the music.

I heard the silence in between...

the birds and distant roads...

my breath...

his breath...

carrying my baby,

although challenging while my body is still adjusting

and regaining muscle strength,

feels like the most natural and practical way for me to

be present for him, and my daughter while I'm busy in the house,

and when we venture out...

I am grateful for all of my lessons...

I'm learning so much,

and uncovering layers of myself-

finding even more inspiration...

feeling healthy with my ital food...

a quick snack...

a drink of water...

meditation...

dancing...

playing...

sewing...

This is some of what I'm working on...

Cuffs, rings, pouches...

This is a white deerskin cuff I made for myself.

I made it from a small scrap I had,

which is why it's the only one-

but I have a new white deerskin I'll be working with

so, lots of new items in this color will be showing up

in the future...

This cuff has prehnite.

A dream crystal, that I love...

On the inside I put a black butterfly fabric that my sister

gave to me as part of a trade...

I used the same fabric for this cuff and this one too...

I really like how it looks with the deerskin-

so I purchased some more fabric that's similar off Etsy...

This vintage fabric features butterflies and moths...

I'm excited to start using it for the cuffs,

and also for some Dream Pillows!

I'll be making a fresh batch of some

Mini Dream Pillows

this week...

I have one left in my shop...

Yesterday ISIS gathered for a pretend lunch...

The round things are cherries from our tree.

Her eyes seem wider to me lately.

Our relationship has changed some since Z was born...

She has deepened in her awareness and

has gone through an intense initiation process-

so gracefully she is present and wild-

such an amazing heart...

My daughter is bright and mystifying...

I revel in her sparky personality, her stories... and how much

she loves her brother...

I've also been spending a lot of my time working on

a surprise project that won't be

revealed until November or December...

I'm still just as busy-

but enjoying it all more,

even with the noise,

the messes,

the aches and pains...

My life is abundant,

and I am joyful...

and I pray that the life force within

each of you flows freely,

as you breathe into this next moment...

Busy Medicine Mama...

Hi...

So, it's gotten more complicated around here,

which has sent me into a mode of wanting/needing to simplify.

I have had to simplify, but I'm finding out how much I like it.

Baby Z is now a month old,

and he's adjusted in so many ways to life out of the womb,

and yet still in his innocent infancy he needs me

so much, and my daughter needs me as well...

Trying to manage both children and the house,

and my works,

and my self, etc.

Wow.

I am in awe of mothers who have more than 2 children

let alone one or 2 like me, and how I have experienced thus far...

No joke, being a mother is the most inspiring,

tiring, joyful, challenging, amazing and selfless role

I have ever had the pleasure of knowing...

My little guy hasn't been able to sleep as much as he was before,

and I know that's normal...

He sleeps great actually,
but during the weekdays,
when my husband is out of the house part of the day,
that's when it gets crazy-
trying to deal with everything a mother of 2 deals with...
and

with the noise pollution

we suffer with around these parts of town,

well, he's dealing with much more than I had realized...

One reason I want to move is to get away from the constant

noise pollution.
There are quiet days and I always hear the birds, but

where we live, my neighbors are sandwiched in all around us,

and on all sides there are barking dogs,

there are cars with loud bass driving by all the time,

helicopters, sirens, motors from off-road vehicles that our

neighbors drive in their backyard, and to deal with this
noise, I sometimes turn on the fans,

but after a while the sound of any machine gets to me...

So I've been practicing some HARD CORE patience,

more than I've ever had to deal with...

My back hurts from holding my son and multitasking,

but all this is what I need to strengthen.

I see these aches and pains, and realizations

as a beautiful part of my path,

and at the end of the day when I want nothing more

than to sink into bed with my man,

and just hold each other (which we eventually do)

I'm interrupted from that plan again and again,

with the reminders of a growing family,

and a precious awareness of my role as the nurturer

of 2 awesome little beings,

and a community of friends,

and other family members that I connect with everyday.

I am so behind in emails it's not even funny.

If you are one of the gorgeous souls that has contacted me

recently, please know I am doing my best to find time

to sit and write.

Right now, I almost got into bed after I nursed Z,

but I have been neglecting this blog,

and I feel like writing,

so I'm going to make it quick.

♥

When we set our mind to it,

we can do anything...

It's true.

I do it all the time.

With all that has me busy with my children

and packaging/mailing orders,

trips to the store, cleaning... etc.

I still found bits of time to make all of this this week!

I LOVE passing along everything I make...

It's why I do it...

I am so glad I pushed myself to make these extra items...

and now I'm even more inspired to keep finding those

tiny pockets of time,

when I can create...

because all it showed me this week,

was that it IS possible.

I am capable of doing everything I need/want...

I just have to remain patient,

and attentive to my needs, and the needs of my family,

and keep that sacred balance...

Today after a long time of trying to rock my son to

sleep, while ISIS was starting to get impatient and

want her mama to "put the baby down",

I went outside with her,

and the crows started coming...

CROWS...

Crow is one of my totems...

If you try to figure out crow,

you miss the point...

Crows are medicine people to me...

They are there to remind me of my path.

They call out to us to wake us up to the magic all around us.

I have had crows talkin' loud and clear in the trees outside,

where I walk I find feathers,

they perch and stare at me...

I'm used to it,

but this past week they came in so many ways.

Today they rallied round, and were so loud and mobbing deep

over the old oak tree that my eyes gaze upon each day.

As I took a few pics,

a group of parrots flew through their space,

and then darted off in another direction.

We had parrots in Long Beach when I lived there,

but they suddenly appeared to me today here in S.D.

-another reminder to find that sacred balance.

The way they appeared in the sky

was as if they symbolized the four directions...

Parrots are colorful and bring much light to our endeavors...

Black crow, colorful parrots...

I could go deeper into,

but honestly

I'm a bit low on the brain function juice,

and I'm going to have to wrap up this post to get some sleep.

It's not just about what bird I see,

it's how and when and why, and what the whole situation looks like,

and feels like...

Animal wisdom is a shown to us as a language of the spirit...

I interpret messages like these every day,

and it helps me on my journey...

I know many of you do too,

which is one reason I share about it sometimes...

I know some people may think it's strange to talk about animals so much

but I also know that if I spark some type of cord

that will remind you to look closer and listen more

intently to what nature has to say,

you'll feel the comfort of knowing that

this world is amazing and interwoven with the magic of creation.

Prosperity is a natural state,
and part of my mind and my life...

Baby Z in our lives is such a sweet blessing.

This week has been so amazing...

I have gone through many emotions,

and have felt so deeply full from the abundance of love in my home.

I have also felt super tired at times

from nursing him during the night

and getting into our groove together,

him acting like a baby owl up at night,

the first week...

the last couple nights we all got more sleep though...

Home with ISIS and Z feels so natural...

the balance of having 2 children-

as if I always did.

♥

EAGL and I are so happy...

With all this time spent sitting to breastfeed,

and slowed to rest so my aches healed up,

conscious of my physical to feel nourished-

to nourish...

I have had so much on my mind...

at peace with it all...

It's like a huge wave of creative ideas keeps pouring down

through my soul star chakra deep into my core,

I feel this transformation going through

more and more shifts as it progresses...

EAGL and ISIS feel it too,

but I guess for me it's a feeling of being so content,

yet also a pull toward wanting something to change...

This wanting is not a craving it's a knowing...

We are being drawn north...

We are manifesting a move...

We've always known we wouldn't settle here in S.D.

our home town, although the roots are firmly planted,

we'll of course return for visits cuz our families live here... but,

the works are underway

to journey and simplify...

as we nestle into a new space.

This could take us a while though..

Maybe 1-2 years at the most I predict.

I hope it's sooner... but there's a lot to do,

if we are to sell our home, or rent it.

Little by little things are all falling into place...
It's so lovely how life can continuously be in harmony
and yet always change...
The big changes make way for tiny ones...
ripple effects...
ISIS and I have been dreaming up
so many adventures,
she's been so patient with me, as I have
chose to stay home and keep a low profile,
while I realign with my body and our family
centers... my son needs security and peace...
living in a big city has a price.
So we aren't traveling much, yet....
ISIS has been at her grandma and grandpa's to swim a few times,
and today she's with her cousins,
but mostly she's with me and the baby and her daddy...
She's so helpful and intuitive.
I've had to gently guide her to be extra careful around Z though,
cuz her vibrant energy can get really bouncy and loud...
I love seeing her care and comfort him...
She's adjusting with few complaints...
She adores her baby brother.
I feel so healthy and have been eating some kind ital food.
drinking lots of water...
I'm back on the mat with a different feel,
able to move more,
and stretch deeper...
I had stopped doing many of my prenatal poses after
I hyperextended my elbow,
but that feels much better now too...

I'm learning and growing...
digging deep into my awareness,
to stay true to my intentions...
I keep so much in, it all brews about,
and slowly rises to the surface steaming with
resonance... it's getting hot...
my path is lighting up...
I have visions of whats to come,
Metaphysical Spiritual works flowing and organizing
in ways that form connections to others-
I'm branching out...
soaking it all in...

ISIS has been nurturing her mini sunflower seed/sprouts...
and they are now in full bloom...
The Lupine is slow to grow, but getting bigger...

I am grateful for all of the comments everyone has been leaving me.
I am not always able to write back to each person,
but like I've said before,

My son is doing very well...

He is so sweet and I'm beyond in love with him...

Seeing my family grow like this

has transported me through time and I feel

awakened and healed on many levels...

I'm so in love with my family...

We recently welcomed our son home,

and are all doing very well adjusting to our new

family of 4 now...

Zahraj Kanoa was born on

Wednesday- July 27, 2011

at 4:52 a.m.

It was a beautiful experience,

and intense to say the least...

He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz.

and measured 21 inches long...

I am very grateful for the wonderful women

who gathered around me to help me

through the labor,

for my amazing husband who is

the most patient and caring and intuitive man I know...

and to my friends and family

who have supported me and empowered me all through

my journey of being pregnant with my second child...

Both experiences were equally awesome,

but also very different.

With ISIS I had an epidural at 6 centimeters,

with my son I declined any and all medicine for pain relief,

and I must say it was much more pain than

I could have imagined!

...but it deepened my appreciation for the entire birth process,

and strengthened me as it too made me more aware

of my natural ability as a womban...

I will write again soon.

Just wanted to share one picture for now...

Our Bathroom Remodel Project...

My husband EAGL spent the last 2 months doing his regular

works, and then spending extra time each day

manifesting a new bathroom for our home.

We learned a lot, had fun, humbled down with the needs

and habits of having a fully functioning bathroom-

(meaning we used the kitchen sink and bathed-

no showers for a bit just bathtub...)

We worked together in our nesting mode and all,

to discover a very run-down bathroom,

under floor boards and behind dirty tile,

that needed love and care...

and now, with our investment into this bathroom-

time, energy, and financial...

it feels so worth it...

I am so grateful to have a safe, clean bathroom...

He finally finished the main stuff a few days ago.

All we have to do now is touch-ups with grout and paint,

install the new lights, hang the recycled mirror,

and put the base board on around the perimeter...

Oh yeah and we still plan on refinishing our door because

the paint is chipping-

so we'll definitely have that fixed before the baby is crawling.

One other reason we wanted to complete this renovation

is so we'll have a better chance of selling or renting our home

in the future... We are working on moving to another town

which has been an idea for a long time,

just finally starting to make sense and take shape...

What I'm also so grateful for is that now that EAGL is done

having to worry about getting our sink and toilet and bath working-

he gets to relax into the space we are still holding for the birth of

our son... His due date is on the 28th,

but it's funny because ISIS was 11 days 'early'

and I've been dilated to 4 centimeters for 2+ weeks,

and I've been 80% effaced for a week,

now even more... so it's just an amazing

change in how I delivered my daughter...

I felt things differently with her being my first child...

I was in labor all night into the next day with her...

and now I'm already so close,

and haven't even started having regular contractions!

We couldn't help but think he might be holding out until

we finished the bathroom, since I had that wish...

My baby boy is teaching me already...

I'm very much in my 'cave' but enjoying my sister,

who leaves tomorrow...

and our yard... and the winged ones...

Of course my loves EAGL and ISIS, and our dog Shanti...

My cousin's wife Loris' funeral was this week,

but I didn't go...

I stayed in my own quiet vigil -

in ceremony with a joyous loving heart,

in remembrance of my friend...

There were some intense emotions this week that I rode out...

Lori died on the 6th...

EAGL and I have had 2 weeks of feeling like

the baby would be here any one of those days...

and yet each morning I wake up feeling the same...

feeling very pregnant and ready to give birth,

and in love with my family,

and grateful for my health and shelter...

So we'll see...

As the half moon shined above me this morning

I was wondering about whether

my son will be a Cancer or Leo...

The sun entering Leo,

and my Moon sign aligned in Taurus today,

I feel this 22 date energy...

A window that actually opens!

We get awesome breezes- living minutes from the bay waters...

I never thought I'd want a new toilet so much.

We've owned our home for 3 years,

and each day I thought of how to get to where we are now...

I'm giving thanks for abundance...

oh, and this...

a collection on my altar right now...

I feel shifts with my blog happening too...

I guess you may have noticed some changes on the sidebar and header...

The middle picture of the new header I made is from

a recent hike we went on at a Wildlife Sanctuary,

a trail we walked covered with white sage,

that was when I was 6 months pregnant... :)

Those journals are just a fraction of my other writing...

I'm enjoying the spider medicine I constantly

am weaving throughout my life...

This blog is a great outlet,

and has helped me evolve in my thinking and organizing ideas...

Some of my goals and intentions are transforming right now...

Pregnancy is a very inspiring and creatively fertile time for me.

All of these stones and shells were found by me on the shores of

the Sonoma Coast during my family's journey there last June...

Actually EAGL gave me the 2 middle gray stones with the circles...

on our 4 year anniversary...

ISIS is ready to play some more,

so I'm off to be mama...

deep rooted

With the anticipation of my son's birth I've

grounded out so much, and these past weeks since I

closed my shop have been so awesome.

I feel strong and empowered and excited...

I also feel so grateful for all of the lessons

I've been learning...

I feel deeply rooted and continuously growing...

digging deeper and deeper...

With this stretching I feel pulled inward,

and it's best described as a mama bear in her cave...

I feel territorial, and protective,

like I want to maintain some kind of control

of my environment...

but it's also more of just the psychic energy...

the vibes... keeping it irie is crucial...

I've felt so high on this journey of going inward,

and drawing forth so much primal energy-

and I feel like it's natural for some mamas to want some seclusion

as they near the birth of a child...

There are huge feelings rising up that feel like undercurrents to bigger waves,

...it's a big shift and I am riding- alert to all angles

surrounding me,

the energy...

I feel a lightness,

unburdened by fear...

unshackled from others' thoughts...

I feel open and revealed yet I'm only disclosing such brief details...

As I transform I feel this other big realization coming over me,

as if I'm being initiated into a new realm of being...

I have a deep seated passion for life that

is burning brightly inside and radiating out...

EAGL and I are seeing eye to eye...

ISIS is aware, this family is ripening,

and we're fully formed in such beauty to bring light forth,

to nurture the roots,

keep a strong hold as the rhythms rock us...

I see connections strengthening,

and some that have been pruned...

It all feels good to me...

I am flowing with a harmonious tide...

I stopped driving, and am walking slow...

I've gathered, and visualized...

We are all in awe...

Feeling very creative and active,

ISIS has made so much art these past 2 weeks...

...she drew a Morning Glory flower

first thing after rising...

she had wandered outside and communed with

the earth... her hands and feet so grounded...

She said this is her flying...

a poodle...

As my daughter transitions into being

a sister to her new brother

I keep seeing her evolve and transform-

it's so beautiful...

One night I made her this pouch, and ring...

EAGL and I will give it to her soon. perhaps tonight...

filled with some good medicine...

I used a scrap of white deerskin

with a piece of Baltic amber from the beads I used

for EAGL's necklace last year...

I've been keeping amber close and tucked in my pouch,

along with moonstone, and red jasper...

I have some special pieces too that I have together right now for the birth...

More moonstone, amber, hematite...

Inside I also have unikite,

and I'm loving the rose quartz that Pixie gave me too...

My younger sister flies in tomorrow,

and I'm so excited about the thought of her being here

for my son's birth, as she was too far away during my daughter's...

My other sister was there for ISIS' birth...

Everything feels so amazing and intricately woven in time and space...

That's how it feels breathing in the new awareness of all this

journey entails... so much abundance...

I am grateful...

With my heart full I create and pray to pass along the works I do...

Since my last post I've made all of this...

and a new special Crystal Wand Pouch...

I will have so much to offer when I reopen my shop in the future...

I feel so inspired...

This orb spider stumbled into my vision...

Many of dreams too guiding me through...

and a wellspring of love and support that I feel

from so many others that are connecting with me...

Wild... Trust...

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Pixie Campbell,

who I've been friend's with online for what seems like lifetimes...

EAGL and ISIS and I adore her,

and we had a lovely day together...

For me, it was a beautiful mini Blessingway of sorts...

Having my sister/friend there to shower me with love and attention,

in her magical ways...

The Birth Talisman Pouch I'm wearing is just one of the many gifts she

gave me- it reads: 'Wild' on one side of the charm,

and 'Trust' on the other...

Our exchange of medicine was one of the most sacred parts of our day,

but the other meaningful event,

was to have her, and EAGL and ISIS do henna on my tummy.

EAGL started with a circle around my navel,

and then Pixie started working on the design...

Later EAGL added more, and ISIS did as well...

It was so beautiful and I felt so honored to have the energy of

my tribe near... my baby was moving around while they

blessed him with their good thoughts, and healing touch.

I am so grateful.

The next day EAGL went back to working on the bathroom

remodel... and I had a big custom order to complete...

It was so awesome to receive a request for such a beautiful idea.

A couple from Seattle wanted me to make them 100 flags,

with the 7 main chakra colors, but instead of buying individual sets,

they wanted to have the individual flags,

to stack in a basket at their 11 year Re-Wedding,

so that each guest, upon arrival to their gathering in the woods,

would have a flag to write a special blessing on...

and then they would hang a few flags each day to feel that love

from their friends and family...

If I would have had to assemble all of the flag sets,

I may have declined, but I ended up getting it done,

and overnighting it to them today for their event this weekend!

So, I realized today that I am to that point,

where I think I may need to close my shop for real.

Doing my regular housework, and taking care of ISIS,

while also cooking, and keeping food on the table,

and doing my works...

has started to be more difficult...

so when I get an order I have to exert even more energy to

package it up and drive it to the Post Office...

But... I love it... it's going to be a change...

I know I'll still be making things,

but in a few days or less I will officially put my shop on

'vacation' to take a temporary break,

to rest, and prepare for my son's birth...

I feel a deep trust in my path,

and this journey that is unfolding as I feel my body changing

to make way for my second child...

The wild beat of my heart is flowing to a sacred rhythm,

that is grounding me and empowering me-

harmonizing with so many stories

and offerings I have gathered to accompany me as I go...

I've slowed, but I'm still moving...

and have been very active in my home.

ISIS and I have produced so much artwork this week that

I've decided to just wait to share because it'd

take up so much space on here...

She's also waking up later,

and wanting to learn about letters and phonics

right when she rises...

as if it's a treat she's been waiting for-

so excited to learn right now.

She's next to me now begging me to draw with her...

Her drawings are getting so detailed!

We've been outside a lot too,

but it's getting pretty hot,

and my baby belly is still growing and growing,

and I'm expecting my son in a few weeks or less...

While I sit and rest I sew with my hands and heart.

This week I designed a few new items,

and I've decided to have one last SALE

Feathers...

I find them all the time...

but each time the meaning to me is different.

I used to find a lot of owl feathers...

Now I find lots of crow and hawk feathers...

I recently took all but maybe 5 of my feathers that I've

collected over the years, out of my living space,

and bundled them up carefully into fabric and into a cardboard box.

I also cleansed other medicine from my bedroom.

There were so many feathers,

and I decided that I needed to simplify

and literally cleanse the space for my new baby on the way.

The next day I felt like making a new type of pouch for the shop.

They have an antique feather charm tied to the front

of the drawstring...

and right after I finished making them,

I was sitting at my desk and saw a large bird

fly close to the window.

I looked out and saw a Cooper's hawk,

hunting the sparrows and finches we feed...

I've seen it before...

but this time it left me a feather...

These pouches are in honor of my strong hawk totem,

and for all of those who connect with the feathered beings...

They are drawstring style, and long enough to fit around the neck

but are not lined with fabric...

Then to my own surprise I created a ring out of deerskin.

It is so soft and comfortable.

On top I used a beautiful button made of deer antler.

I may end up making more of these one day,

but honestly I just was messing around,

and I made it, and was like, wow... I like it.

So it's a OOAK limited edition ring,

available now in my shop for $8.

I think it'd look great on a man or a woman.

I love the energy it carries...

I had no idea I'd have a creative burst of energy like this.

I have been wondering when I'll close my shop,

and put it on "vacation" mode...

I figure I'll keep it open at least until the end of June...?

So far I have not decided whether I'll be

selling these cuffs I made this week.

I made them for myself,

but sometimes they just want to move...

I have another in-the-making,

and several others in mind,

that will snap shut for closure...

I'll be working on those in my spare time.

Other than that,

I am still nesting, and waddling around,

feeling like my body is preparing me for what's ahead.

I have started to feel small contractions once in a while,

I guess they're the "Braxton Hicks" ones...

The bathroom remodel is coming along,

and I have a special day planned with a friend coming up-

a little mini Blessingway of sorts...

So, I'll have more to share as the next weeks go by,

but I'm for sure slowing down as you can tell...

I'm enjoying my time spent with EAGL and ISIS...

We all are in love with the baby and are so excited to meet him!
