I'm in a good mood.
I had felt sort of 'under the weather' the last few days,
from being overly tired and it's been cold and rainy,
but it all lifted,
and my sense of humor has been off the scale today.
I can get kind of hyper at times,
believe it or not,
mainly if I have not exerted enough energy and it builds up...
If you have met me in person, you know the many sides to my personality.
I love to laugh and make others laugh,
and my family is hilarious at times.
I'd like to bring a little lightness and humor to this blog tonight
cuz I can tend to be all serious and stuff...
Intense. I know...
People have always told me that...
"You're intense." Yeah well, I am and I'm not too.
Anyway, this post will be a bunch of NEWS and
pics from the last week or so...
and hopefully you'll crack a smile here or there...
"When babies attack." - my 2 year old nephew
This is a picture of my little guy kissing me hard.
It's his new thing.
He grabs my hair and pulls me in and bites my face.
I know it sounds bad...
But he's trying to snuggle me up all tight and kiss me.
It doesn't help that he just got 2 teeth,
so I've had to help him learn how to be more gentle...
He is so sweet and affectionate I can't even contain myself-
He's toned it down the past few days to softer bite-slobber-kisses.
Before I get to the NEWS,
I want to share a few more pics.
This is my old toy from back in the day!
1983 was the manufacture date.
This is 'Red Butler' from 'Rainbow Brite'.
Do you remember that show?!
Hehee, well, we had a yard sale last weekend,
and while I was going through a storage bin
at my parents' house, I found him.
He is now baby Z's new little friend.
He likes to bite his feet and talk to him in the car.
His orange yarn hair is awesome.
We cleared out about 1/4 of what we own at our house,
and it feels amazing.
This is our second time doing this in the past year,
and we plan to do it a couple more times before our big move.
Simplifying...
Ok, one more picture of baby Z giving kisses.
This is my love giving a snuggle bite-kiss to his cousin,
my older sister's baby girl who is 4 months old now.
It's so much fun for my sister and I to have babies so close in age.
When they see each other they start squealing in joy.
Adorable.
ISIS and baby Z and I frequent my parents' house at least once a week,
because we love them and all,
but also because we just end up there,
because as life-learner-unschooler folk,
we just go where we feel like it,
and it's fun to meet up and have playtime at my old house,
where there is more wildlife and open space,
and grandparents that are super cool peeps.
Part of ISIS' learning lately has been her project with snails.
She has been keeping a terrarium with snails for the past 2 months,
and one of them laid eggs!
I had never seen snail eggs before,
and so we read all about it and are waiting for them to hatch.
Since it's winter,
I'm not too worried about our garden.
We love snails around here.
We'll make sure they find good homes.
Alright now, let me share the NEWS in a list...
1. Registration for the Spring session of the
will officially open on February 27!
beginning on March 25 and ending on May 12.
We are in the 6th week of the Winter session now,
the FIRST session...
It's been such a big learning experience for me.
I am so grateful for this group of women
who have been with me through this initiation process.
One of the women in the group emailed this beautiful
message to me this week:
"You know what I am learning from your eCourse?
Life is all about love and loving.
Meditation in all its forms is a channel to
giving and receiving love.
Your thoughts and techniques are encouraging me
to meditate more, and pray more.
That it matters very much how I direct my thoughts."
I have reread this several times,
and I'm just filled with joy,
knowing that this woman feels this way
I will be updating the "Appreciation" page on my blog
sometime next week or the following week,
as we bring this session to a close on February 26.
Last week we chose an affirmation to focus on,
and we adorned them and beautified them to be put
somewhere in our home, or work area...
This is what I made.
Next news...
2. During the weeks in between eCourse sessions
I will be restocking my shop.
but in actuality it hasn't been at all,
I'm just going through another transformation with my creations,
and I am slowly selling the last of what is in my shop,
to make way for new items.
I will be having a big SALE coming up in the next couple of weeks,
so keep that in mind.
3. I am excited to announce that starting in March,
I will begin a new series of monthly interviews!
Last year I did a series of "Artist Interviews"
posted every 2nd of the month...
(which you can find on my sidebar on the right)
and this year's series is all about "Inspiring People".
I have several interviewees lined up,
and I'm looking forward to having that regular post for you all to enjoy.
I will be posting this series of interviews every 22nd of the month.
With regard to regular posts...
It is a concept that I have grown to appreciate as a blog reader myself.
I like that certain bloggers post regularly on certain days, or topics,
and I've been meaning to do the same thing for a while now.
4. Starting sometime this month,
I will begin posting a new weekly, and monthly regular post.
Every week I will be making a post that I basically
share other people's works with you- for example:
blogs I love, articles I've read that I feel are important,
music I listen to, products I support,
inspirational stories, things to make you smile, etc.
It's nothing new in the blog realm,
I have seen people doing this in their own way all over the place,
and so I am figuring out how I will do this,
and it's about time too, cuz I've been holding back!
I have lots to share people, I hope you will check out this new series.
and lastly...
5. Every month I will be sharing one of my recipes.
Ever since I started this blog over 2 years ago
I have been photographing meals and snacks I make,
because I've always known I would someday organize my
ideas about food and eating,
and I'd start to share more about it.
Recently my sister Kristen suggested to me that I start a
regular series of posts where I share recipes,
and I thought it was a wonderful idea.
I am always learning and I will be explaining that learning process as I go,
so it should be interesting and fun.
...a pouch I recently made to carry some new stones I was given
by a friend, the peacock ore and chrysoprase-
the other brown one is one I've had for a long time,
it's petrified redwood tree... and then of course one of my
many special pieces from LillaJizo.
♥
So there it is.
Lot's of new stuff to look forward to.
Thanks for being here.
Hugs, LL
